My wife and I searched extensively, high and low, for the best daycare to bring our then almost 2 year old daughter to last summer. As soon as we walked into Building Kidz we had a strong feeling that this would be our top choice. The entire staff was so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. You can instantly see how much thought they put into their program with each age group — multiple rooms offering different learning experiences including music, pretend play, life experiences, and sensory. Most importantly, the school felt extremely safe. The playground is enclosed with age-appropriate equipment and strong security features at drop-off and pick-up. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the following summer and enrolled for the school year. The staff was very accommodating and always took the time to talk to us about our daughter's day at pick-up — that tells you they truly care about the kids. We also had access to an app with updates and photos throughout the day. It made our day to see her thrive and enjoy her time there.

What is your educational philosophy?

We believe children learn best through play — purposeful, guided play. Our days are filled with hands-on experiences that spark curiosity. Building a block tower isn’t just fun — it’s early engineering. Painting isn’t just messy — it’s fine motor development and creative expression.

How do you prepare children for kindergarten?

We focus on the whole child: social and emotional growth, independence, executive function, and foundational academic skills. Our preschool, Pre-K, and kindergarten teachers collaborate closely under one roof — so your child’s learning journey is continuous, consistent, and perfectly paced.

How do you handle discipline and behavior?

We use positive guidance and redirecting. We help children identify emotions, use problem-solving language, and practice conflict resolution with teacher support. We partner with parents whenever consistent challenges arise.

How do you communicate with parents?

Through our secure parent app for daily updates, photos, and milestone sharing. We also offer parent-teacher conferences, informal chats at drop-off and pick-up, and an open-door policy for scheduled classroom visits.

What should my child bring each day?

A labeled backpack with: a lunchbox and water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing and outerwear, and any nap items if applicable. We provide all learning materials.
